    Our Privacy Commitment

    At Monolith, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. We've designed our app to respect your privacy from the ground up. Simply put: we don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.

    Data Storage

    All your data—including your Monoliths, distractions, insights, and settings—is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. This means:

    • Your data never leaves your device
    • We have no servers collecting your information
    • We can't access your data even if we wanted to
    • Your data is private by default, not by policy

    What We Don't Collect

    • Personal information (name, email, etc.)
    • Usage analytics or tracking data
    • IP addresses or device identifiers
    • Cookies or tracking pixels
    • Your Monolith tasks or distraction logs
    • Any behavioral or productivity data

    Third-Party Services

    Monolith does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app runs entirely in your browser with no external dependencies for data collection.

    Data Export & Deletion

    You have complete control over your data:

    • Export: Download your complete history as JSON from Settings
    • Delete: Clear all history from Settings at any time
    • Browser Data: Clearing your browser's localStorage will remove all Monolith data

    Security

    Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's security. We recommend:

    • Using device passwords/biometric locks
    • Keeping your browser and OS updated
    • Exporting backups of important data

    Children's Privacy

    Monolith does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, there are no special considerations for children's privacy—everyone's data stays on their device.

    Changes to This Policy

    If we ever change our privacy practices (which would only happen if we added optional cloud features), we'll update this policy and notify users prominently in the app. Any changes will maintain our commitment to privacy.
